About the Opportunity

The Administrative Assistant will report to the Resident Care Manager and will perform a variety of secretarial, administrative and co-ordination duties including, but not limited to:

providing administrative and clerical support
patient registration
managing patient funds
data entry on NSHiS
maintaining workload and statistical data
general secretarial duties (processing mail, composing routine correspondence, typing, transcribing dictation, filing, maintaining mail lists, faxing, collating, photocopying and answering the telephone)
recording/maintaining meeting minutes
ordering, receiving, maintaining direct order purchasing and inventory
other job related duties

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

Grade 12
Graduate of a Medical Secretarial program (two years)
Minimum of five (5) years experience in a medical environment
Typing speed of 55 w.p.m.
Proficiency with a variety of office software including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and SAP systems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high degree of tact, judgment and confidentially
Excellent organization and time management skills
Demonstrated initiative, ability to set deadlines without sacrificing work standards
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

Permanent, Full-Time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives

$21.58 - $26.98 Hourly
