Camp Manager

Job Description

  • Work Term: Seasonal
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Education/teaching of individuals in elementary special education programs
  • Education/teaching of individuals in secondary special education programs
  • Child care provider/assistant
  • Parks, recreation and leisure studies
  • Kinesiology and exercise science
  • Therapeutic recreation/recreational therapy
  • or equivalent experience

    • Work site environment

  • Outdoors
  • Noisy

    • Work setting

  • Staff accommodation provided
  • Rural area
  • Willing to relocate
  • Outdoor centre
  • Camp

    • Tasks

  • Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities
  • Maintain and repair sports equipment
  • Train and supervise staff
  • Prepare reports
  • Schedule activities, keep logs, maintain records and prepare reports
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required

  • Lifesaving Bronze Cross
  • National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
