The Learning Experience Designer is responsible for the development of online learning experiences that accelerate a learner?Ϋͺs ability to make a difference in the healthcare field. The Learning Experience Designer doesn?Ϋͺt accept outdated approaches to training or higher education and constantly seeks to implement modern, effective, and beautiful learning environments. The Learning Experience Designer inspires their team members to join them in the creation of true experiential learning and dispels the myth that it can?Ϋͺt be done online. The Learning Experience Designer ensures that projects get done in a timely manner, but more importantly, always includes something that will wow the learner. The Learning Experience Designer is always learner-focused, intensely understanding the learning personas for which they are designing.

Core Duties:

  • Write measurable objectives, project-based learning assessments, and multimedia scripts (graphics, infographics, interactives, video, and audio).
  • Manage the involvement of multiple subject matter experts and stakeholders
  • throughout the development of course materials.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently; serving as the sole instructional designer.
  • Direct the creation of course content that engages the audience, increases
  • retention, transfers skill/knowledge, and drives sustained behavior change.
  • Direct the visual design of learning projects to create impactful and memorable digital experiences that drive learning.
  • Identify creative solutions to allow for experiential learning to occur, every time.
  • Collaborate with overseas production teams to create course materials and
  • resources, including videos, interactives, and graphical content.
  • Maintain internal documentation and templates.
  • Keep project plans accurate and current.
  • Communicate in an effective, respectful, and inclusive manner.
  • Identify new learning strategies or technologies and look for ways to integrate into current projects.
  • Incorporate non-cognitive interventions into learning pathways to garner learner effort.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Education, Training, Instructional Design, Liberal Arts, or a related field.

Experience in:

  • More than 5 years of experience in an Instructional Design or similar role, responsible for the following tasks:
  • Developing and executing curriculum and learning strategies
  • Utilizing instructional technology to create and edit course content
  • Writing, editing, proofreading and organizing course content, layout and

audio/video scripts

  • Working with and guiding subject matter experts
  • Creating instructional documents, guides or job aids

Knowledge of:

  • Online course creation for higher education
  • Canvas and other learning management systems
  • eLearning creation software (e.g. Articulate Rise)
  • Current instructional design techniques, media, and emerging technology
  • Adult learning theory and current learning science
  • Course and scriptwriting techniques
  • Google Suite, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate

Ability to:

  • Ability to drive a project to completion, owning the standard of completed work across multiple stakeholders to deliver an impactful learner experience
  • Communicate in a confident and engaging manner with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Possess amazing writing skills: must be able to write a variety of documents, including lessons, case studies, and other course content
  • Possess an eye for beautiful design: must be able to drive projects to be delivered in a clean, elegant, and modern design
  • Able to apply various instructional design approaches to learning content and to

professionally design and implement engaging and effective teaching and learning

strategies

  • Develop storyboards with graphic design components for various audiences
  • Conduct needs assessments
  • Analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to work independently with little direction.
  • Practical experience of relevant professional disciplines. Preferably: Instructional Design; Project Management; and user experience design
  • Willing to seek feedback early and often. Welcome critique and respectful discourse.
