Position: General manager - financial, communications and other business services (NOC 00012) Company: The International Grill Inc o/a OL'BERTA Job details Location(s): Bay A5 2409 16 Street, Didsbury, AB T0M 0W0 Suite 200, 1822 10 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T3C 0J8 Salary: 90.00 hourly / 35 hours per Week Terms of employment: Permanent employment Full time Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Night, On Call, Overtime, Shift, Weekend Start date: Starts as soon as possible Vacancies: 1 vacancy Overview Languages English Education Β· Master's degree Experience 3 years to less than 5 years Responsibilities Tasks Β· Oversee and manage all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations. Β· Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficiency and consistency. Β· Prepare and manage the restaurant's budget, including revenue, expenses, and profit margins. Β· Monitor financial performance and make adjustments as needed to meet financial goals. Β· Recruit, hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and support personnel. Β· Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours. Β· Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members. Β· Address employee issues and resolve conflicts. Β· Ensure high-quality customer service and satisfaction. Β· Handle customer complaints and concerns, striving to resolve them in a timely and effective manner. Β· Train staff in customer service best practices. Β· Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to develop and update menus. Β· Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to maintain high culinary standards. Β· Manage inventory and food costs to optimize profitability. Β· Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a safe dining environment. Β· Ensure staff is trained in food safety procedures and compliance. Β· Address any health or safety issues promptly. Β· Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. Β· Organize special events, promotions, and marketing campaigns. Β· Maintain an active online presence and manage restaurant's social media accounts. Β· Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors. Β· Manage relationships with food and beverage suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality products. Β· Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Β· Minimize waste and control costs through efficient inventory management. Β· Prepare regular financial reports for the restaurant's owners or stakeholders. Β· Analyze financial data and make recommendations for improving profitability. Β· Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including labor laws, health codes, and licensing requirements. Β· Develop and execute long-term business strategies to ensure the restaurant's growth and sustainability. Β· Build and maintain positive relationships with regular customers and seek feedback for continuous improvement. Β· Participate in community events and initiatives to enhance the restaurant's reputation and community involvement. Β· Provide leadership and direction to the restaurant team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Β· Invest in staff development and training to improve skills and job satisfaction.
