The ONSIDE is a Halifax-based non-profit that serves as a community accelerator empowering rural and underrepresented groups through inclusive innovation-driven entrepreneurship and collective impact. We are currently running a project called the Start Now Incubator, which is focused on supporting diverse and intersectional women in Canada start and grow their businesses.

Role Description

Reporting to the Executive Director, this full-time hybrid role (onsite/remote) is focused on building the Start Now Incubator?۪s community through active outreach with women-focused organizations and entrepreneurs, supporting the creation of engaging community events, and managing the coordination of the project?۪s existing community events, such as Virtual Networking, Peer to Peer Networking, Fireside Chats, Mentor Matching, etc. Network Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing engagement strategies to foster partnerships, build networks, organize events, and gather feedback from stakeholders. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive community initiatives while identifying opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in community relations, event coordination, or marketing
• Bi-lingual preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in public speaking and/or presentation
• Proficiency in Canva, Mail Chimp, social media platforms, and project management tools
• Ability to take initiative, think creatively, and work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Experience with non-profit or community organizations is a plus
• Familiarity with the startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem is a plus
• Legally able to work in Canada
