East Coast Sheet Metal Ltd. is a leading HVAC and General Mechanical contractor based in Atlantic Canada and has been executing large commercial ventilation projects since 1987. Our strengths are in large commercial projects, such as long-term health care centers, retail stores, institutional projects and recreational centers located across the Atlantic Provinces.East Coast Sheet Metal Ltd. is currently seeking an individual for the full-time position of Project Manager.Position Summary: Reporting to our Operations Manager, your focus will be the delivery and execution of projects to the clientsResponsibilities Manage multiple aspects of construction project execution including coordination with subcontractors Effectively communicate with all stakeholders Work closely with supplier and subcontractor to review scope and pricing Establish project schedules and review manpower requirements Coordinate deliveries including shop materials and suppliers Able to read and interpret SMACNA Specifications and Construction drawings Perform Material Take-off from Mechanical Drawings Review Shop drawings received from the suppliers/subs and prepare submittals to submit to client Manage Site Instructions, RFI and Change Orders and price it accordingly Oversee all the activities related to Project Commissioning Maintain accurate Cost Control and report Forecast on a monthly basis Prepare monthly project progress invoicing Participate in safety audits and demonstrate leadership in safety Attend job meetings and promptly resolve site coordination issues Document control and contract administrationQualifications Degree in Engineering or relevant field is must 3+ years Project Management experience Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting construction schematics Experience in project management, including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks Familiarity with construction estimating processes and techniques Ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, supplies, and subcontractors Strong leadership and team building skills Knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practice Experience working with MS Office including Project. Fluency in English language is must.
