Backwoods Energy is seeking Highly Experienced Class 1 Drivers with Super-B experience in the Nisku, AB surrounding areas. Wage: $38.00 - $45.00 / Hour Shifts: 10 - 12 Hours, up to 6-7 shifts / Week The Role: The role of Class 1 Driver contributes to team success by providing trucking and transportation support of access mats to client locations in northwestern Alberta. Safe operation of equipment Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of count sheets and incident reporting Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over rural routes Performing product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoices Following health and safety and safe work procedures Completing all daily paperwork including but not limited to Safety Paperwork, BOL’s, MTS’s etc. All other duties as assigned What We're Looking For: Experience operating Super-Bee setups Min 2 years of experience operating equipment preferably matting haul experience Hours of Service-, Load Securement and Pre-Trip Inspection experience considered an asset Physically fit and able to repeatedly get in/out of equipment and secure loads Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency Previous professional driving experience is required Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditions Training and Certifications Required: Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean commercial driver’s abstract Hours of Service Training Certificate (required) Load Securement Training Certificate (required) Pre-Trip Inspection Training Certificate (required) Standard First Aid with CPR (required) CSTS 2020 (required) Ground Disturbance Level II (required) H2S Alive (an asset) We thank all applicants for their interest in this position, however only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
