Aethera??? is currently seeking a motivated individual who enjoys a ???hands-on?۝ approach to software development and is interested in the continuous learning of relevant and emerging embedded control technologies to fill the role of Embedded Developer.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Embedded Developer works independently and directly interfaces with Aethera?۪s custom equipment and system design teams in all aspects of embedded software development ??? from concept and implementation to testing, maintenance, and documentation. Following industry best practices, they are responsible for developing the firmware to run on Aethera?۪s hardware platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

?? End to End design, development, implementation, and support of firmware and maintaining existing software to current development standards.

?? Control and signal processing algorithm design for custom applications

?? Creation and updating of design documentation as it pertains to embedded systems.

?? System testing and verification (including test documentation)

?? Planning work, estimating effort, delivering on time and on budget

?? Assist in troubleshooting problems at both the software and system levels.

Qualifications

As a graduate from a recognized program providing the required foundation in software and embedded systems, you are proficient in C/C++ and have experience with embedded controllers and firmware design. You must be eligible to meet the requirements for industrial security and the Controlled Goods Program. Some additional qualifications which would be of benefit to you as a embedded developer at Aethera are:

?? Bachelor?۪s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

?? 3+ years of professional experience

?? Experience in embedded software design

?? Proficient in C/C++

?? Familiarity with Python and MATLAB/Octave would be beneficial

?? Ability to read and understand electrical schematics

?? Experience with assembly programming is an asset

?? Exposure to or experience with industrial control and automation protocols would be of benefit.

?? Experience in digital signal processing algorithms

?? Experience with analog/digital modulation techniques and digital communications standards
