JOB PURPOSE To ensure the timely and effective provision of inpatient detoxification services in a 20-bed facility. To provide clinical leadership of a multi-disciplinary treatment team of addiction and mental health professionals in accordance with the mission, objectives, philosophy, and policies of Addiction and Mental Health Services, Horizon Health NetworkQualifications Bachelor of Nursing with a minimum of five years clinical experience in Addiction and Mental Health Active registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick or eligible for such registration Management/Leadership courses or diplomas would be considered an asset At least five years work experience with evidence of progressive supervisory and management roles Demonstrated administrative skills such as leadership, managing resources, superior communication skills, sound judgement and decision making Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning, education and development Ability to organize and direct an interdisciplinary team Demonstrated ability to work as a team member, and independently on own with minimal direct supervision Ability to perform the duties of the position Ability to attend work on a regular basis Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians, and the general public A Resume (C.V.) is required as part of the application** Key Responsibilities This is advanced professional nursing work in planning, organizing, directing/implementing, and evaluating a program/staff and or nursing service within an assigned area. Work involves responsibility for providing lead direction in a clinic/health centre or on an assigned unit/area for the management of staff, financial resources, equipment and supplies, development, coordination, and implementation of health care services. Work is performed with independence and initiative within the scope of professional nursing practice guidelines.
