Prince Edward Island Preserve Company is seeking a guest-centric Restaurant Team Lead in our full-service, high volume restaurant, in New Glasgow, PEI. We offer a relaxed dining experience in one of the most iconic locations on the island. For over 35 years, we have striven to use the freshest ingredients in the preparation of our menu items, and are known for their excellent guest service and delectable dining experiences.

The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at our restaurant, and act as a support for the entire Restaurant team. While your main focus will be Hosting, you will also support the Restaurant Manager and perform duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Handle table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, informing customers of out of stock items
Staying updated on current menu choices, knowing if kitchen is running low or out of an item
Prepare for bookings for the day
Communicate with Kitchen staff on bookings for the day
Issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning change
Performing basic cleaning tasks
Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting
Assisting servers, bartenders, and bussers in any aspect that may be required
Understands and can communicate products and services available at the Preserve Company
Responsible for cash float
Complete other tasks as assigned by the Restaurant Manager
